Merge duplicate devices into one (beta)
Users can now merge duplicate device records into a single device. When multiple cloud connectors see the same physical device, it can appear several times in your device list, once per connector. Merging combines those records into one device, so your list reflects your actual fleet, and a merged device is counted as a single device. A merged device is counted as a single device, so you're billed once rather than for each connector that sees it.
This feature is currently available in beta; please speak to your CSM to enable it.
To merge devices, select up to four records of the same device in your device list and choose Merge. Pick which record acts as the default to represent the device across lists and tiles, then confirm. The merged device stays in a single space, and moving it moves all of its records together.
If you need the records apart again, open the device and choose Split at any time. Note that deleting a connector will split any merged device that includes one of its records, and you'll be asked to confirm before that happens.
